Both soren and Mia of Fire Emblem fame were on Sakurai's list, yet I haven't seen many threads
about these two unique characters.
Mia may be overlooked simply because she uses a sword, but I really want to discuss her possible inclusion.
Soren is a talented tactician, an accomplished magician and has a smart mouth. I would like to see these characters included, perhaps among others (Boyd, Oscar, and Rolf anyone?)
Discuss.:)

Marth eliminates any chance for Mia. Only Soren is left.

I'd rather see Mia over just about any other FE characters, with only a few exceptions. She has no chance though, mostly because she is a sword wielder that is not a lord. I doubt a non-lord would be playable.

Don't forget the black knight. He was even hinted at in the stage entrance update.
How so? The warp magic Ike uses? Thats a staple of the Fire Emblem series - has been since the first game. Most of the games include warp or rescue staves which utilize it

Magic using "lord" > Magic using "mage." Soren played an important role in the beginning of PoR and it lessened once
Greil died
. Not sure about RD, but I know from PoR the importance was not enough.

I do realize that, but you must also note that the BK was the only prominent user of warp POWDER on Sakurai's list. I am not reffering to the warp staves featured in every game, but the Black Knight's own little bag of magic. Also, here's a direct quote "Could that be warp magic? It’s Ike?" Note that Sakurai is wondering if it really could be Ike as it would make more sense for the Black Knight to use warp powder. Or it could be disconfirming him:urg:.

You're missing the point. Warp Powder is only one form of Warp Magic. Ike is seen using Warp Magic - there is no indication it has anything to do with the powder. As Warp Magic is a staple of the series, theres no connection to the Black Knight there in the least.

:laugh:Ok my bad, I understand. So it really doesn't affect the Black Knight's inclusion.

As much as I would like Soren (He's probably my favorite Fire Emblem character) I think he has no chance. He's already competing against Micaiah as a mage, and she's a more important/likely character from his series. That's not even mentioning mages from other series.

Mia? I'd say she has even less chance. She'd probably be too much like Marth, and I don't see them taking too much time to make an unimportant FE character original.

Not necessarily, she is just out-prioritized due to having absolutely no importance to the game. She is just a grunt, basically. But still, it would be easy to give her a completely unique setup and moveset than Marth due to her class.
