you got a message on facebook. might wanna check it bro.
oh DAMN now I get it, ignore my last reply. You were talking about that beep sound in my video. yeah I am confused about that myself lol.
During the video, there's a sound effect that I'm guessing is the sound effect for facebook notifications around 0:13
yeah I figured that out. Though it does sound like a facebook notification sound, I don't think it is. because it happened quite a few times, though when I went to check fb there was nothing, so I'm confused to what it really is

i remember the days when people used to make normal TAS videos and not turbo TAS, nearly every new TAS video is in turbo mode

just a complaint to the world though, great video hope you make more, may i suggest samus versus link?
Well I can try do some non-turbo mode TAS videos.

not trying to take away any motivatation from you or anything man, just something i've been seeing is all, i'm personally happy with any TAS vid you upload seeing as how there isn't that many to be honest
ok. I made a non turbo mode TAS. Its Link vs Ike. I dont know if its any good honestly. I am uploading it to youtube and will post it here when its done. Then you be the judge. If there are things wrong with it then please tell me so I can fix it for the next video.

the whole point of a fighting game tas is to be as flashy as possible. moonwalks are good but there's nothing else going on. another thing to note is that imo (so take this with a grain of salt) beating on cpus isn't entertaining to watch. tas vs tas is fun but a lot of people take it too far where you get crazy sdi that sometimes doesn't even make sense (actually hurting the player being comboed). i think the best tases are player vs player, ultra flashy, but it looks like a human (an incredible human) could actually pull off the tech shown in the video. it's an incredibly difficult balance to strike but you know it when you see it. iirc this guy does just that, so give those vids a look for some inspiration. they're all turbo mode vids but i think you'll see my point. oh and one more thing to avoid, going back and forth taking stocks. again, you want it to be believable. p1 gets a 0-death, p2 gets a 0-death, repeat until last stock, finish with a draw. that's extremely predictable and therefor boring to watch. emulate top level play but be flashy as hell. consistent powershields, but miss a few here or there. have players get punished. have them take risks and maybe fail sometimes. it's ok for one player to beat the other or simply maintain a lead.

i hope that was coherent and not completely rant-y.

ok yeah I get what you mean. Also I have seen quite a few of those guys videos who's channel you linked. I don't think I could ever make videos as good and flashy as his. Plus I can't really do player vs player tas because I don't really have someone to play with. and even if I did, how exactly would i go about making player vs player tas. because I play frame by frame, and I have an assigned key on my keyboard to forward one frame. It works for one person but how would it work for 2. Does each player take turns in pulling of combos? Or do I just change the setting and have the game play back at a really low speed but automatically so both players can play at the same time?

No, as far as i know two players TASing eachother isn't possible, although this guy does have a point, when you TAS it's usually to be as flashy as possible but also to show what a character is capable of if they were played perfectly (which usually includes extreme flashiness) but i disagree with the guy, the whole one stock 0 to death thing is predictable but damn is it awesome! I also disagree with the SDI thing, again, it's showing how perfect a character can be, but that also includes doing everything else perfect like DI, tech's in general, etc. here are some great examples from melee TAS that you just did

this is of course fox but here some other characters

this is melee yoshi, just imagine what you could do with PM yoshi

Here's some PM examples

and here's one that shows what a character is capable of, in this case it's Lucas

It's possible to TAS two players at the same time using Dolphin's TAS input tool under Emulation->TAS Input, but you need Dolphin 4.0.2 to use it.
