It was rumored on the net that sonic and tails would actually be playable characters in Brawl despite it being a joke for melee

also since snake is on brawl it is also believed that nintendo will have their own headlineing game for the wii in return

\what do you guys think about this

it is possible, they did get solid snake which is probably the last person i would have guessed, but right now there's no way to know. Many people are hoping for the sonic charactors in brawl, im actually hoping for knuckles.

According to SamuraiPanda's translation thread (he is translating official news from a Japanese web site for us), They expect to add 1-2 third party characters besides Snake (though this isn't definite).

Sonic and tails are definitely likely possibilities, but yeah, there are other threads about them. I would also recommend reading the transation thread (it is stickied in the general brawl discussion).

I think there's a pretty high chance that sonic will be in there. And from what I can kinda see, for the most part characters have counterparts/alter egos..so who knows? Maybe tails and shadow might make an apperance. I want knuckles though =/

i strongly think that Sonic will make it in!

Tails is up for grabs, but i wouldnt be surprized if he got cut.

as for shadow. . . maybe am alternate costume for Sonic?

Sonic has a good chance, but with the only 1-2 third party characters statement i highly doubt tails would get in.
