Sonic is SSBM wtf?

I've heard a lot of claims of Sonic being a bonus character in SSBM. Some weird way of unlocking or something. I'm sorry if I seem noobish but you have to remember, I have only had this game for 9 days.

Positives:
From what I've heard, my friends tell me they've played as sonic in SSBM and they say its possible to unlock him. I really want to believe this considering all of my friends tell me this and say they've played it as him. (Although I already know not all of what they say is true.)

Negatives:
1. Why would sonic, a sega character, be in a game fully about Nintendo?
2. From what I've seen other people say, its just one big hoax, there is no sonic in SSBM.
3. If sonic really was in there, wouldnt they have a sonic level in the game?


I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but like I said, I really dont know, so please help me figure it out.

That's the true. Your friends gotta be nuts or something to believe that sonic is in ssbm, is that or either they've seen fake pictures like sonic and knuckles with fox and mario on corneria, wich obviously has been the job of someone who has taken a picture on a capture program like windows movie maker or any program of the sort(computer and Tv connect via Tv card+audio and video cables with inputs and ouputs) and edited it on a program like photoshop or the like just to make stupid people think that sonic or knuckles are on the game wich is completely false

Beeing the most requested character actually DOESN'T guarantee his spot in Brawl, just so you know. Sakurai could very well just...ignore everyone and not put Sonic in. There's nothing stopping him. I think Sonic has very high chances of beeing in, but that certainly is not "guaranteed".

Second of all, don't post such aggressive arguements. Believe it or not, there ARE intelligent people on the internet, particularly these boards. Stop treating people as if their worthless.

You may also want to read correctly before you post. Not only is this post not about Brawl, but it dosn't mention Brawl at all, and it's clearly in the Melee boards, not the Brawl boards.

Oskurito, I think your post was just as uncalled for as his. Your post did nothing but demonstrate how intollerant you are. You don't need to make him look like an idiot, he's already done that.

As for Sonic in Melee, I'm afraid that's just a hoax. It was an April Fool's joke a few years ago, a magazine posted fake screens of Sonic and Knuckles, claiming you can unlock them by getting 20 or more kills on Cruel Melee. I guarantee almost everyone on these boards, including me, has done so. Nothing happens.

You can always hope for him in Brawl, as Tony_ so elegantly put it.

LMAO even if you get 999999999 KO's at cruel melee(wich is possible btw) you wont unlock anything. If you think I'm scrub/noob just wacth my combo vid or any of my vids and you'll see that I'm no scrub at all

THose pictures (both sonic and shadow) are from sonic adventure battle 2(not sure but I guess) as well as the life icons, I'm not a sonic fan but I like him. Sorry but I'm not an idiot, cause I did one of those by myself I know how to.

1. the damage numbers would be a light red.
2. the sonic and shodow characters are from sonic adviture 2 battle.
3. the stock head for shadow is just the sonic one colored black.

According to the IGN boards sonic is real. If any of you pay attention, you have to beat cruel melee with everyone and get 20 kills.

Then get 50 kills in cruel melee with sonic to get jesus.

And you havent seen pros using them cause they are illegal.
