I was looking closely at some of the new leaked screenshots from tonight, and I noticed something.
Here is a shot of the starting roster:
And here is the Captian Falcon picture:
Everything checks out perfectly with these two pictures.
However, look at the pic of the roster with Ness, Luigi, and Marth unlocked:
Notice how in this last picture with Ness, the character icons are now only 7 across instead of 8? In both the standard starting roster picture, and the pic with Falcon unlocked, the rows are 8 across. Add 2 to each of those rows (there's room for one more on each side, add a fourth row, and you have a possible 4 rows of 10. That would be 40 icons including the random box.
The Ness pic, however, has room for a total of 36 icons including the random....which is 4 rows of 7. So, is the roster picture with Ness fake...or do the number of characters in each row "shrink" from 8 to 7 as you unlock new characters?
