I am a DOJO addict and have read every line of every update. There is one section in the "With Anyone/Basic Brawl" update that caught my eye.

"When you have a battle mode that runs online like Basic Brawl, the problem of what to do with hidden characters arises. If one of your opponents chooses a character you haven’t unlocked yet, it will be spoiled for you immediately.

But even without this mode, given the proliferation of the Internet these days, the existence of hidden characters is going to get exposed anyway.

So, this time I’m moving in the direction of not being too hung up on hidden characters."

This makes me think that there are going to be a slew of characters that are not shown to us via the DOJO. Maybe the characters that they have shown us so far are only the starting characters of the player list. I could just be getting my hopes up but the DOJO master does make it sound like we are going to be in for a bunch of character surprises.

I think Sakurai wouldn't announce every character, even if they'd all end up getting revealed by the internet. I'm guessing he'll leave a few secret characters 'secret', if you know what I mean.

i think the point of that post was sakurai saying he would tell us everything. he's saying we are going to get spoilers from playing online anyway, so might as well tell us everything. that was the jist i got from the original post on the dojo.

I think what he meant was not: 'You'll find out about them anyway so I might as well tell you about them here', but more something like: 'You'll find out about them anyway so I won't take the effort to protect those who don't know about them.'

So if you ask me, he won't reveal all characters on the Dojo.

I think he'll just update the unlockable characters after either the Japanese or the American release.

Definitely not the PAL countries. lol.

Wasn't it somewhere written that he's going to release some characters before Brawl comes out, and then all the secret ones AFTER Brawl comes out? (Not all at once, of course)

DOJO will probably only have 1/2 or a little more of all the characters before Brawl comes out.

Indeed, the tradition is for him to not announce secret characters until the game is out.

He will announce them on the Dojo after Brawl's Launch.

If you play online you WILL be seeing characters you might not have unlocked.
