Smash 3DS Something odd about Trophy Rush.

I just did a trophy rush match and got 29 trophies. Of which I got:

2x Fighting Mii Team
2x Specknose
2x Doc Louis
2x Shotzo
2x Ivysaur
2x Chrom
2x Arm & Leg Lift
and then 15 individual trophies.

That's hardly a coincidence is it? Guess it's not that random.....I have just over 300 trophies right now but that wouldn't make a difference.

Doesn't mean much but I thought it was interesting. By the way I'm loving this mode, it gives you a great buzz when you get loads of new trophies.

I still haven't gotten a single trophy in it, I guess I'm doing it wrong. I've only tried it 3-4 times, at 30 seconds each time. Never got a single thing.

You should probably try it at the max time (2:30). You need to get the meter in the top right to full, then it'll drop a bunch of coin and trophy boxes (that can roll off the stage quite fast), and every once in a while, a wrench box. You fill up the meter bar faster by getting combos on the boxes, which is to say, destroying a lot really fast.

It's worth paying the 900 coins for the Max amount of time though. Some single trophies in the shop cost even more than that, plus you can also pick up custom moves. Granted when you've collected a lot of trophies Trophy Rush becomes a bit less effective. Out of the 29 trophies, 8 of them were new.

So far I've had the best results using Zero Suit Samus, Ness, Wario or R.O.B in Trophy Rush. R.O.B up air is very useful for collecting the trophies/coins when they start falling down.
