Something I've noticed about Ammibos.

So, Ammibos are new figures that allow you to edit the character the figure is made to resemble and fight against or with them to level them up. The plan is to release a figure of each character so that eventually all characters (besides Miis) will have a figure.

Here's the problem, though. What if you haven't unlocked the character that the Ammibo resembles? Even if Nintendo releases the unlocks in later waves, people who would be first getting the game later would have an issue.

So, here are the options:
  1. Ammibos will unlock the character if you haven't already (pretty sure this is deconfirmed)
  2. They could allow you to still edit the character, but won't allow you to play as them.
  3. There are no unlockable characters.
Discuss.

Oh, I am pretty sure unlocks are in, we'll just know all of them by release (because of Sakurai, not leaks). As I understand it you can't play as amiibos anyays so I don't really think it creates a conflict. You have to use the amiibo to fight the character anyways, right?

This system still confuses me a bit.

Oh yeah I guess they are a total spoiler for newcomers.
Damnit Sakurai who put you up to this amiibo sh@# anyway?
Shoulda left all content IN GAME. This isnt Sakurai's style.

I swear they keep forcing Sakurai to change his vision, I refuse to believe he originally intended for this. Although I gotta admit the idea of training a CPU to be your perfect opponent is really cool, but was there anything stopping them from saving data to the console? Too many characters I guess.

So the amiibos will eventually be spoilers of characters that you need to unlock, Although I'm kinda hoping there aren't any characters that need to be unlocked.
I remember the one thing I hated about playing Melee and 64 when I was little was that I KNEW there were more characters but didn't know how to get them. I just wanted to play with them for the longest time but I wasn't good enough at the game. Made me feel like sh#@.

Honestly, you can play the game in full without amiibos based on their explanation. I'm not really sure why you think Nintendo is changing Sakurai's vision.
