Something I noticed about my controller

Think what you want about this, But my control stick actually bends in and out. Like I can squeeze it into the socket a tiny but and it makes a little clicking sound.

Why is this important? Well for one thing the highest level of technical is really just being able to move the control stick in multiple directions quickly, and in some cases less then a second, or "quarter stick" like Moonwalking/Shine>Bair/DI'ing out of tumbling animation. Just about anything.

With the control stick being nudged in a bit you can get into the corners quicker.

Discuss/flame.

That's funny, I actually think it's the other way around. I remember a thread a while ago after the whole manacloud shaving analog controller mod craziness that said that you could actually pull out the analog stick a lil bit (should make a faint poof sound) that makes your dash dances and such quicker (ie. controller is more sensitive). Also it would give you more DI as you had more range for the analog. And you could reset it simply by pushing down and hearing it "click" back into position.

There would have to be some real testing to see what really happens when you do this though. I honestly haven't a factual clue.

When I started playing fox, the sensitive controls really messed me up. Now though, they make me faster, 'cuz I don't have to move the stick very far to do anything, which makes it easy to quickly input multiple directions if you move your fingers precisely.

True, it's just that I also play Falco, who needs more pressure. I just need to get my mindset right when switching between characters. The other night when I was practicing, I did some crazy fast Dair>shine repeats. I was so amazed that I messed up after like 6 shines.

I can't play falco lol. I always input things while I'm still in lag or something dumb like that.

Falco's shffl Nair>shine repeats aren't nearly as fast(and thus not as sexy) as Fox's. I have to practice more Fox. No one shows off like Fox.

I know, right. I love fox 'cuz I'm only limited by my finger speed with him, meaning that I can always get faster.

the little rubber pad on my controller stick can rotate 360 degrees O.o
doesnt really effect it
Lol, mine did that for a while, before it ripped even more and became uncomfortable to play with. I had to take it off, and now it kinda hurts to play Smash (or any game) using it. I now have a chalice on my thumb. :ohwell: I'm thinking about getting a new one. It's gonna take quite a while to break into.
