As a person who's watched English-speaking Mother fans denied their game time and time again, I'm a little paranoid that, for whatever reason, the Mother 3-related content in Brawl will be nixed for the North American version.
I mean, there's no LOGICAL reason why it'd happen. After all, Marth and Roy were from a Japan-only series when Melee came out, and they remained intact for the NA version, complete with Japanese voice-acting and everything. Their inclusion proved so popular that Fire Emblem became a viable Western franchise, and now there's been three English-language installments on the market to date (soon to be four, with Radiant Dawn in November). Keeping Marth and Roy in the NA version of Melee did wonders for Nintendo, so surely they'll keep the other content based on Japan-only games in all versions of Brawl.
I need this stage.
Then there's the fact that unlike Fire Emblem at the time, Mother 3 has an English-language predecessor, Earthbound. Furthermore, Lucas is a full-fledged newcomer, and New Pork City is the spiritual successor to Hyrule Temple, Melee's largest and possibly most popular stage. Surely they wouldn't cut either of them in the English version of the game.
To top it all off, Nintendo localized the stage's name, update -- hell, even the name "Ultimate Chimera." And by putting it on the English version of Dojo, they're building hype for it among English-speaking gamers. Everyone will be expecting it in the English version of the game. Everyone will be anticipating it.
So... I have no reason to worry, right? I'll be playing New Pork City when the game hits America in February... Right? I'm so used to being shut down when it comes to anything Mother 3-related coming to America, that I can hardly believe we're getting a massive stage based on it for Brawl (and a playable character!).
Let me know what you think (other than that I'm crazy for worrying).
