Some Things to Practice

I thought it might be a good idea to make a thread discussing different training regiments we've done before. This can help beginners and even intermediate smash players get better. Everyone feel free to post different things you've done, here are some of mine.

Z-Cancel Practice
This one is simple. in training mode (or whichever mode you prefer really), simply continuously use your arials on your opponent. do nothing but arials (mix it up with short hops, full hops, fast falls) and try to Z-cancel every one. This will help develop your Z-Cancel timing.

Edge Guard Practice
with a friend or AI, go to the edge when your opponent has a moderately high percentage. knock them off any way you desire and when they try to come back to the stage....well...Edge Guard :p. try experimenting with your arsenal of moves to see which tactics work best for your character.

Teching Practice (character specific)
to get better at timing when to press Z before hitting the ground, take a character with a self destructive move, I'll use link for example. pull out his bomb and throw it right at the ground then attempt to tech. eventually your percentage will increase affecting the knockback of the move, this will allow practice of teching at different heights. also try jumping and throwing the bomb at the ground just before reaching the ground just to mix it up a little. (NOTE: make sure you're not crouching when you throw the bomb at the ground, and make sure you smash throw not tilt throw)

Wall Combo Practice
in training mode, pick a place with a wall (the back part of Sector Z) have your training dummy stand next to you near the wall. simply throw him against the wall however you want (Fthrow, Utilt, Fsmash [whatever works really]) after they bounce off the wall try to keep them airborne with different moves. having a wall for an opponent to bounce off of is helpful when practicing combos.

so those are some of my training regiments/ practice theories. although they seem simple 'Practice makes Perfect' and every little bit helps make you a better player. I'll post some more later, but does anyone else have any they'd like to share?

Learn to move around the stage flawlessly and do all sorts of fancy ****. Then you'll do stuff like that in real matches and people will have huge hard-ons.

...

Jk in a more serious note I'll make a real post about that later.
