Some speculations upon seeing the alternate costume update.

I just went over the costume update again. I wanted to see a few things before I made assumptions, but I have 2 queries

first, with the looks of Dark Zelda, Dark Pit and especially Dark Link, is Sakurai thinking of implimenting them into SE somehow?

second, as a starting machinimator, there seems to be a bleak future for machinima in Brawl. not only are there moving stages (so new areas have to be made over and over again) but with the ability to take pictures during any pause, it seems that the camera mode's days are numbered. will this mean that Brawl is no longer machinima able?

To answer your first question: Duh! Of course the dark versions of some character, especially Link, and Dark Samus, if she's not playable (she probably won't be), will be villains or at least have some role in the game. I mean, even in Melee there was a Dark Link fight in one of the event matches.

Machinamators will have a much easier time with than with Brawl than Melee, I think. You can make your own stages, which is awesome for machinama. There will probably still be a camera mode, or at least a mode where you can use camera mode while replaying a saved match.

But, no Smash game is really conductive to machinama. It's just too different from reality to really make sense. Only first person shooters and MMORPGs like WoW have machinama. That's because they have characters that travel in a real 3D world.

There could very well be a possibility. Minister could use them as a last resort, claiming that all the other creatures were just to stall for the Dark developments.

Pikachu's alternate costume pretty much says Pichu's gone. The goggles and the green bandana were Pichu's. Unless Sakurai plants to make Pichu with the same thing or different costumes. Nothing new.. just a speculation.

Its just the opposite, Pichu from 2001 has evolved to replace the old pikachu with the blue party hat

I didn't mind Pichu, and I wouldn't mind him back in the game, just as long as he isn't a complete clone of Pikachu

I just thought that with the new dark kolor scheme we will have another team color to choose from in team battles *assuming its back cause i havnt seen an update for it yet lawlz*

Machinama will be fine; There's enough non-moving stages. And the Dark people just add to it. Hey, even the moving stages could be implemented in fan movies, because directors can create anything. Smashtasm 2, anyone?

And in the SSE, I don't know if there's anything about it, or they're just being funny.

How did you get this from the alternate costume update?
