Some Questions about the Inner Workings of Melee

I have some questions about the inner-workings of Melee.

How does walking work? Is it completely analog based? It doesn't seem to be, considering there's values for acceleration and such. Is it split into partitions based on speed? I'm guessing the control stick adds to your position (speed), rather than set.

Can someone explain how turning works in detail?

What velocity of control stick movement triggers a dash? (What triggers a dash?)

Is it possible to rip a model from melee with the animations included?

Why can't Game&Watch L-Cancel some of his aerials? (Are there any other moves that cannot be l cancelled?)

What moves and actions can be buffered, and when?

Where is the true location of a player? (The point that kills a character when they pass the blast zone.) I'm assuming it's the anchor point at the bottom of the players feet.

Why are there 4 Environmental Collision Boxes, and what is the purpose of each one? (Along with each "+" below it)

-------------------------------------------

Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Please don't feel pressured to answer all of them in one go, just answer what you can.

Thanks in advance!

@Tcll would have that. But I don't think he's gotten animations yet.

He has a non-standard landing lag state. I'm unsure of other characters.

It's TopN. ECB (Environment Collison Box) Up/Down/Left/Right are offsets from TopN used for physics as well as deaths.

See above. I assume the + indicator with color is which ECB is affected. (IE. Facing away from stage won't ledge grab)
