(SOLVED)Custom music not working. Weird problem

Okay, so I'm having two problems.
One, is very weird to me. I got into my SD card and then project M>PF>sound>strm
and I don't see the whole list of songs. In fact I only see 12 songs in there and a 'Songs Replaced' .txt file
I've tried re-downloading project M but the same thing is happening. Only 12 sounds in the sound folder.

So, I decided I'd just try and replace one of the songs that is in there and see if that even works. So I used brawl box,
and made my own brstm file and replaced it like I'm supposed to. And I put it in my wii and the song didnt play.

Any help is appreciated. I'm using Homebrew by the way.

Project M only replaces 12 songs. The songs not located in the Project M directory will load Brawl's default, unless you specifically add the brtsm with the correct name. For example,

W23 - Multi-Man Melee 1 (Melee)

Does your custom BRTSM open and play in BrawlBox just fine?

Ah, the thought crossed my mind that that folder only contained the songs it replaced. So I tried replacing the melee menu theme with one of my own brstm. And I loaded up the game and it didn't work.

And yes my brstm's are working fine in brawlbox

What method are you using to convert it? Tell me the EXACT process used.

Also, does the music sounds distorted, or it just doesn't load? Does it load the Brawl default or the Project M default?

I'm getting MP3's and turning them to .wavs via audacity. Then I'm going into brawl box, and clicking "new audio stream" or whatever it says. (I'm not home so I can tell exactly)
Then I make sure it plays correctly, which it does. Then I convert it to a brstm via brawl box.
Then I make sure the brstm plays in brawl box which it does.
I name the audio file accordingly.

Just for recap: I tried once to replace a song that's actually already in the audio folder which didnt work. (Example: metal Mario stage song)
I also tried to put a song in there that wasn't in the folder (example: melee menu)
That also didn't work.

Well I have it set so It always plays melee's menu theme through PM's (or brawls?) in game sound control
And it just plays melee's menu theme instead of what I replaced it with

My only thought is that you do not have it labelled correctly, or is in the wrong location. Can you tell me exactly where you place it on your SD card? Just want to make sure. and you definitely have .brtsm as the extension, no?
