Solution to fixing Falco's Shine?

Now that the clone engine has become operational... I've been wondering:

can't Falco's reflection lag from shine be fixed now?

Fox doesn't suffer from the same shine glitch as Falco. In theory, can't you clone Fox over Falco as a template and rebuild him from there? It would be a pain in the ***, but could this potentially fix the problems related to Falco's shine?

With limited character slots and finite SD card space, it makes more sense to fix the current falco file than to make a brand new one using fox. Besides, old falco would still be on the game disc, and having two falcos (one from melee and the other a leftover brawl falco) would be very counter-intuitive.
