Hello, I am Draviex. I am a smasher from a small town called DeFuniak Springs, Florida. I normally play online with Netplay and I want to get better at the game. I have only had the opportunity to go to one tournament, but I plan to attend more when I enter college this fall in either Tallahasse, Gainsville, or Orlando. I'm not sure which college I will go to yet. Depends on the Acceptance letters. I started to take this game seriously in June 2016. I at first started playing Marth, because I was inspired by the Smash Doc from Mew2King and Ken. Then I started to play Captain Falcon, when my friends kept teasing me about Marth. Overtime, I have gradually played less Marth and more Captain Falcon. I have even started to study his matchups and options more than Marth's. When I tried to play Marth again, my familiarity and thought process completely could not achieve the same level of skill(however small it was) as it used to be with him. I still want to play him and Falcon both more though. Should I continue to play Captain Falcon or should I go back to Marth and quit Falcon for a while? Or should I just play both of them at the same time? Maybe I could continue to play one of them now and pick up the other later? Please tell me your thoughts on Solo Maining or Dual Maining with a character.

Bump. I hope someone answers.

When you're starting out, you should solo main a character. Once you can play your main and consistently win, you can pretty much win with any other character. Fundamentals and gamesense carry from one character to the next.

As for who you should main, that's up to you. If you're punish heavy, go for falcon. If you're defensive, go for marth.

if you are more comfortable playing falcon play falcon. If you are evenly comfortable with each character play marth.
