I've practiced with the platform cancelled iceblock chasers, and they're absolutely beastly. I can often trap an opponent in their shield, then follow up before they have a chance to escape it--with Nana present no less. You know what that means XD I also tried it in training mode, and I've managed to combo with my own iceblocks doing this. The combos are stupidly situational, but the fact that it's even possible is pretty epic, IMO.
Also, with one IC I'm able to duplicate the presence of Nana on some levels, at least in regards to iceblocks. Being able to follow my own iceblock is pretty potent, and it lands me a lot of grabs with a solo climber. Against characters you can chaingrab, this can help you gain leads in stock even without Nana, so the application is pretty apparent.
The wavedashing platform cancelled iceblocks come in handy where the platforms aren't conveniently placed to do the standard ledge cancelled ones. The downside is that you need a lot of room, which opponents aren't always eager to provide you.
Don't forget the de-sync out of the start of the game. If you know where your opponent is spawning you can often trap them in an early grab that can set the pace of the match for you.
