Smash Cadet
And Sakurai surprises us yet again (and no I'm not surprised snake is in. *sheesh)
Today's update is a surprise because EVERYONE was saying that Snake wouldn't be updated until after launch because he is a secret character and Sakurai won't update secrets until after launch. Well, at least half of it is wrong.
I think there is now a distinct possibility that Sonic could be updated before launch. I'm going to go with the philosophy that 3rd parties will be secret but Sakurai is breaking our expectation by blogging about a few secrets before hand.
+1 for Wolf link. Where do I get this? "It’s not just Snake’s special moves that use ordnance—so do his Smash attacks." I believe there is a distinct possibility that one of Link's smashes will have him quickly transform into Wolf Link for the attack and then transform back.
Is it just me or did he steal everyone elses specials. I see Samus missiles, Link's bombs, and Peach's Parasol (just with different animations). I'm not saying this is a bad thing but it is interesting how similar they are.
I guess the best response is that it is just an answer to the Tokyo Game show so everything is "official" or whatever.
What's with the MGS4 "Love Theme"? OOOOH it's sooooo romantic!!? I haven't played any MGS games so I'm probably just naive or whatever.
And what is this? Why is Mario falling over? Oh NOES!! It is the horrendous coming out of a box attack!!
And don't bother Mic_128. Not only are these to increase the chances that my thoughts get noticed but if you will notice the history they are for archival purposes. It was my fate that NSider forums closed so close to the opening of this tradition. Had it not I would be able to have decent responses there. Wouldn't want this banner that I worked so hard on to go to waste.
Feel free to reply with your thoughts on my thoughts on Sakurai's thoughts. Or, just let this poor thread sink down to the bottomless abyss of un-loved threads.
Here and here are the updates I am referring to.
