When it comes to parents, they barely comprehend the advances of what video games technology can really do. They often throw manuals away, smei-important stuff that enhances the experiences(AR Cards), tend to not take important advance and/or tips from savvy experts(often they just let them do the work, majority because they can't even bother to try), and they would often give their child the wrong game, as in a games they should not comprehend until their older. They barely aware that handhelds have chargers(which aren't that much different from the ones they use for their cell phones), and they nor their kin bare ever put Game Discs back in their cases.

I'm not trying to offend, but... doesn't it irk you?

No. It doesn't. Children should teach their parents how to properly use games and hopefully encourage them to be involved in their own hobbies. This way children don't isolate themselves from their parents by playing games and can instead make an attempt to allow their parents into their life by allowing them to participate in their interest and/or hobby.
