TEAM OVERVIEW

----------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Wukong l Infernape
  • Ability: Blaze
  • Item: Focus Sash
  • Nature: Naive (+Spe, -Sp.Def)
  • EVs: 24 Atk | 252 Spe | 232 Sp.Atk
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Close Combat: Close Combat the move that annihilates Blissey and Snorlax, as severely denting anything not resistant to it.
    • Flamethrower: Flamethrower over Fire Blast for accuracy cause I hate losing him due to Fire Blast missing. It provides STAB as well as create a type combo.
    • Stealth Rock: After much testing, I came to the conclusion that I lacked a Stealth Rock Pokemon, Weavile was not really helping so I decided to convert my Infernape to an anti lead version.
    • Fake Out: Completely ruins Focus Sash leads.
  • Description: My leading Pokemon, credits to Taylor for revealing it some time ago, seeing as Weavile has not really helped my team, I decided to move him to substitutes, Infernape beats the likes of Bronzong or scares it away, which enables me to set up Stealth Rock, the EVs are so I can out speed most threats and hit them hard, sometimes KO them, but I am debating changing them and adding more EVs to attack.
  • Team Work: Rather simple, this guy helps my team by setting up Stealth Rock so others can sweep more easily, I usually switch out once he has filled my purpose so I can save him for steel type Pokemon, quite risky, but it has worked.

  • DracoXGear l Salamence
  • Ability: Intimidate
  • Item: Life Orb
  • Nature: Naive (+Spe, -Sp.Def)
  • EVs: 80 Atk l 252 Sp.Atk l 176 Spe
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Draco Meteor: This in combination with Outrage, Earthquake and Flamethrower destroys walls like no tomorrow.
    • Outrage: A deadly move on Salamence. F - smashes anything that doesn't resist it, as unfortunate as locking myself in it is, it always causes severe damage with Life Orb.
    • Earthquake: Damages all the steel Pokemon who wall this set, except for Bronzong and Skarmory. Provides a good deal of coverage as it hits ground, fire and rock types.
    • Flamethrower: This is to take out Steel Pokemon like Skarmory and Metagross, Flamethrower over Fire Blast for accuracy.
  • Description: Credits to RaikouLover for the set, I personally think this is the best Salamence you can get as it destroys walls with ease, nothing really to say, the addition of Outrage ha basically made Salamence one menacing behemoth, great addition to my team.
  • Team Work: My wall destroyer, overall sweeper for this team, it is important that Infernape gets Stealth Rock down so Salamence can sweep more easily.

  • Oversoul l Heatran
  • Ability: Flash Fire
  • Item: Choice Scarf
  • Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
  • EVs: 4 Atk l 252 Sp.Atk l 252 Spe
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Fire Blast: STAB Fire Blast completely destroys Steels and most importantly, Skymin, as well as Grass Pokemon if my opponent is silly enough to leave them in.
    • Hidden Power <Grass>: What is this, HP Grass Heatran, this is here so I can finish off those Swamperts that have been giving me trouble.
    • Earth Power: Special Earthquake, everyone knows why this is ere, so I can compete against other Heatrans that use Choice Specs or against Fire types like Infernape.
    • Explosion: Last resort move, when my team is weakened and I need to take something out, Explosion does that for me.
  • Description: Ever since the day I saw Heatran, i have always wanted to use him on one of my teams, in terms of power, Heatran fits nicely onto my team as I am able to take out Skymin along with other threats, most of the time he takes out one Pokemon, maybe two if he is lucky, all in all, I like him and is a good addition to my team.
  • Team Work: I don't have a good Scizor counter, seeing as Scizor packs Superpower now, switching in is risky, nonetheless this still a great Pokemon to have on my team as I lacked speed, has good resistances and just overall helps my team out.

  • Yoshi l Lucario
  • Ability: Inner Focus
  • Item: Life Orb
  • Nature: Jolly (+Spe, -Sp.Atk)
  • EVs: 4 HP | 252 Atk |252 Spe
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Swords Dance: If I am lucky enough to get a chance at setting up, Lucario is taking down 2 Pokemon minimum, Swords Dance is a great move, and having two priority attacks make it even better.
    • Ice Punch: Nice addition to him, before I was considering Thunderpunch, but I like Ice Punch more, covers Grass and Dragon Pokemon.
    • Extremespeed: I love speed, seeing as Lucario lacks speed, this move fits nicely into his move pool
    • Close Combat: Self explanatory.
  • Description: With or without using Swords Dance, Lucario can still rip through stuff. Life Orb is there for the added attack bonus plus Bullet Punch won't be able to kill Gengar in one hit, quite menacing this Pokemon.
  • Team Work: It is vital my team wears down the opponent's team so Lucario is able to kill without a Swords Dance. Lucario resists ghost and Ice attacks aimed a Salamence and so he has many opportunities to set up forget some hits.

  • BlueWind | Suicune
  • Ability: Pressure
  • Item: Life Orb
  • Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
  • EVs: 4 HP | 252 Sp.Atk | 252 Speed
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Ice Beam: Covers grass Pokemon, flying types and dragons on top of that gains even more power thanks to Calm Mind
    • Calm Mind: Mandatory on any Suicune set, boosts his Atk and Sp.Atk, after one Calm Mind I am able to potentially KO Celebi, after two, he is defiantly going down unless he is heavy on Sp.Def.
    • Surf: STAB boosted Surf, I think you know why this is here
    • Hidden Power <Electric>: Surprise move, allows me to come in on water Pokemon get them with HP - E.
  • Description: Awesome set, I had to try it out, It shocks many players, it wrecks havoc, it causes so much damage, it may not be as destructive as it was in Advance, it is still ****ing good, I normally use Calm Mind first, so I can have to power to get Zapdos, Celebi, this is my bulky water, and takes out the dragon Pokemon.
  • Team Work: I lacked good defense, so to remedy this, I chose him over other because I just don't like the other walls, Suicune is quite the beast when played correctly, covering my teams back and sweeping, even though he can can't wall as good as other Pokemon, he stills gets the job done.

  • MagiTek | Porygon2
  • Ability: Trace
  • Item: Leftovers
  • Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
  • EVs: 228HP | 188 Def | 40 Sp.Atk | 52 Sp.Def
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Ice Beam: Covers that **** Salamence that has been giving me trouble, as well as grass Pokemon.
    • Thunderwave: I really don't like Discharge, I want to paralyze my opponent's Pokemon 100% of the time, Thunder Wave is less risky.
    • Thunderbolt: What would Porygon2 do without thunderbolt, due to his spread, he can take a hit from Gyarados, paralyze him or KO him with Thunderbolt, I usually use Thunderwave first effectivly making him useless or him they happen to switch out into something hopefully not Electivire.
    • Recover: This ensures that Porygon2 can stay in as long as possible.
  • Description: I like this set, is able to take hits from Gyarados and KO him with Thunderbolt, he sure is an interesting Pokemon, and I am shocked I didn't try him out sooner.
  • Team Work: Defense Pokemon, this guy sorts out my obvious Gyarados weakness and Salamence weakness to a certain extent, he helps my team by paralyzing quite a few Pokemon effectively making them utterly useless, he also 2HKOs Skarmory I think which is also helpful I guess.

This... is pretty much the same team as your last one. I think the only thing you changed was Weavile→Porygon2.

EDIT:

Yeah, make Heatran Hasty, and take a bit out of speed for attack... but only if you want to.

I'm not sure if it'll help, but you could try putting a Salac Berry over your Suicune's Life Orb. You have Calm Mind to buff yourself anyways. Also, you could put Substitute over one of your attacking moves to trick your foe into thinking you're a defensive set, plus it'll help you activate Salac Berry.

Stamping your library books.
Goddamit, do you HAVE to use that format? My eyes hurt.

Anyhow, I really like the sets on this team. You might want to give Scarftran a different nature if it's running Explosion.

Huh, offensive Suicune. Is it any better than the standard Defensive set?

I see a few weaknesses with this team, although overall it's pretty good.

1. Your salamence will not be breaking walls nearly as well if you're locked on outrage. While the set itself is decently surprising, most experienced players are used to watching for Salamence wall breaking combos, and may reserve a counter on the revenge turn before forfeiting their walls. Not a bad set, but I still think Crunch is better than outrage, or perhaps Brick Break as long as dual screening Deoxys/Azelf is popular.

2. I'm old fashioned, and I recommend Adamant Lucario with Bullet Punch. Gengar is too dangerous to give free turns to.

3. Your team dislikes ground/fighting assaults, and you don't play a physically bulky mence to counter it. You also have a huge weakness to DD Kingdra, who sets up half of your team.

4. You have 2 fast sweepers that could be used for lategame with lucario and heatran, but because of their steel typing, it encourages you to use them early to mid game. You should look into an oh **** late game sweeper of some kind. I would recommend Weavile over Lucario, as he still resists ghost/ice, is faster, can still SD, and hits more super effective.

Funnily enough, this team is quite outdated, I just haven't been bothered to update it.

I was going to change Heatran's nature to Naive or Hasty, get rid of Suicune and Lucario and add Swampert and Zapdos, what do you think?

I am generally not worried about ground weakness, that however will be gone once I make my edits.
