So today I was going through some of my old **** in my closet and found my legendary GameCube, a purple controller and its lovely AV and power cords. I thought "Oh yeah this would be great if I had Melee to bring out". As I haven't actually played the game since about 2004 or 2005 (Put away your guns I was just a boy) I thought it would almost impossible to find my original copy that I considered to have more value over primary school (**** my younger self was intelligent). So I go on Ebay and decide to try and find a copy of Melee. Found a few copies but wasn't sure of which one to spend my hard earned cash on. Before I purchased I thought I would have one last ditch effort look around and see if I still had it (I've moved houses twice since purchasing the holy grail game). Couldn't find it and decided to open up the GameCube for a last chance look.

Holy Crap I found it. So I decided to set up the thing on my 60 inch HD tv (yeah it provides great HD porn for when I need it). I have never played the game with half a brain, just used to button mash like any other 12 year old would. However funnily enough I still had the old memory card and holy **** I had unlocked everything(Couldn't remember doing that).

However I now know of all the advanced techniques that are associated with competitive play and I still respect the top players for their ability. Although I decided to try learn some of these techniques in the 1 hour break I gave myself from Uni exam study. I must say I wasn't too shabby considering the videos on youtube and twitch I had to "teach me"

So this is what I propose, What are you're best tips, videos, pages, philosophies for learning the higher levels of play in this game. Considering I'm a large Brawl fan and want to play more Melee to give me a taste of a game I can hardly remember.
From memory I used to main Cpt.Falcon, Marth and Dr.Mario back in the day (actually looked up the tiers lists and was quite proud of my younger self for picking some half decent characters).
Also I have viewed many threads on the subject, however I'm asking your No.1 tip, video etc.

I hope to entice you with further adventures that prove of somewhat interest that relate to this game and others in the series.

Good night
