..Like a hack/mod or some other way around it?

I bought the game solely for the multiplayer component, and feel that the pve just feels like a waste of time. Especially when you have a family, job and all, every hour spent doing something that gives nothing of either value or fun factor is just out of the question.

But if EVO allows custom moves, its per definition the way the game is meant to be played ATM, so for it to feel authentic, they are a must it feels like. (not saying that neither me, my friends or anyone from our town will be going to evo anytime soon, cause we wont.)

No hacks or mods, but trophy rush is a somewhat faster way to farm them. You can get 2 every run if you put the time on 2:30

so, shortest possible scenario, it'll take 8 hours?

arent some of them also challenge-specific also?

I wouldnt even mind paying a dlc fee to get them despite its already on the cd, just cause i like the game so much.. =/

Sadly they can't be bought, unless I missed the memo. But other than trophy rush, smash tour is a way to get a lot but the games take forever and I'm too impatient. You can get quite a bit out of crazy orders too. I've wanted to just cut to the chase and get the moves too but there doesn't really seem to be any faster farming methods.

Guess I'll just have to bite the bullet then. Thanks anyway for taking your time.

Trophy Rush gets 2-5 depending on some luck. If you have a turbo controller, you can passively farm them via Target Blast. You can get them in Classic by landing the prize wheel well (even easier on the 3DS version), and if you turn on Smash Tour it can also passively farm. Master and Crazy Orders are also really good ways.

Just got all of them in 3DS, and Trophy Rush is the way to go. Still need to check that on WiiU eventually.

The custom blocks usually have moves, and there was a decently high chance of getting new ones. I managed to get the 15+ i was missing in a few days by spamming Trophy Rush. I played as the characters missing moves too, I think that helped a bit.

I did notice the customs tended to come in patterns, so it was easier to get them. The first fever usually has one at the very end, the second usually doesn't, and the third usually does. Either the fourth or fifth also has one, most of the time it was the fourth wave. I was generally getting 3 customs in the 2:30.

Target Blast works too, as long as there's a target that has the wrench icon present. In fact, Target Blast doesn't cost you any gold to play, so you won't end up wasting any gold if you get nothing but duplicates. It is on the slower side though, but it's the last best option when you're almost finished with collecting all the custom specials.
