will i possibly get the feared "TV lagg" that you get if you hook up a gc or wii ect. to a HD tv?

This. Also, which cables are you using. it also helps if you tell us exactly which TV you have.

if you hook it up with a VGA cable you get no lag (imo) runs just like a normal monitor. I got a 32" vizio LCD and it works great.

No lag/delay with an HDMI cable here from my computer to my Panasonic TH-42PZ700U 42 Inch Plasma TV running as a secondary monitor in 1080p, except for some games (not all, and I'm not entirely sure about PJ64, I don't usually play it on the TV, just some other games and video) when I turn on VSync.

When a game is in fullscreen and has v-sync on, there WILL be unavoidable input lag and there is no way around this unless you play in non fullscreen or turn off v-sync. Also, knowing which TV it is is also important because some of them simply have a delay displaying the image sent to it no matter what, which will translate into input lag.

Yeah, that's what I've heard. It's just kind of weird that I don't notice it with some games, but with others it can be terrible.
