if your brother runs to the edge, let him hang there for a moment until his character stops blinking. if you activate Monado Speed, and attempt an UpSmash with the Smash control stick when you near the edge, the first part of the attack might scoop up his fighter for the second hit.
if he attempts the Getup attack, you can attempt to use Vision to counter him OR you can put up your shield, block it, and use something quick like your jab or grabs.
pay attention to when he hits you, if he does something enough times, he'll need a moment to adjust once you counter him. don't let him get that moment, and you should be clear for the most part.
