Yes. Same reason why we (or at least I) got excited for Smash 64. Just it looks better, and it's a hell of a great start.

Honestly?

I probably never would have heard of Brawl, barring a few very casual references. After it comes out, that may change. I don't pay all that much attention to Nintendo games (or any other) that aren't released yet unless I've played a prequel.

I'm not sure if I'd be interested. It's a large scale fighting game, which would attract me, so probably. But honestly, I didn't know a lot of Nintendo characters before the original. I was very much just a Mario player basically. I'd never played Metroid or Legend of Zelda. So if Brawl were the first, but was the same scale as it's set to be, I'd be like "who are these people? for a lot of it.

But then, I never would have played OoT, gotten into Zelda, and they wouldn't be my favorite characters... At least until much later, but maybe not at all. Who knows.

It depends on what I heard of it. I didn't know anything about Smash 64 until I played it at a friends house. From that point I loved Smash, got a copy for my N64, Melee as soon as it was released, and have already preordered Brawl.

If it was hyped a lot and I had heard about it, I would probably consider buying it, but wouldn't be nearly as excited as I am about it.

lol if it got this much hype then everyone would like it, but without the hype i think as a big gamer myself i would have bought it cause hey cool fighting game with a bunch of different characters but i think most people would gradually start to like it and play it just like it happend for 64

Yeah, I wouldn't have ever heard of brawl. When SSBM came out I was excited, but then I didn't know the internets and speculation and all that crap.
