So have I got this reasoning for Ultimate's character numbering correct?

Is the following accurate in how Ultimate orders the characters "in order of when they were first introduced to the series"? The ones in bold are the curious, unsure ones.

(note: If we were to list Smash 4's echos fighters this way, would we put both with their accompanying character's trailer, or would we put Dark Pit with Smash 4's unlockable characters? If so, I'd say right before Bowser Jr.)

1-8: Their named introduction within the game's intro
9-12: Break the Targets unlock followed by 1P Game unlocks in order of difficulty but with "Jigglypuff can be unlocked after Ness and/or Captain Falcon if criteria for the latter two is fulfilled during the 1P Game"???)
13-17: Their significant CGI shots of focus within the game's intro/E3 reveal
18-26: Their VS Matches unlock numbers in order
27-31: Their named introduction within the trailer for Brawl
32 + 36-44: Online reveals + VS Matches unlock numbers in order?
33-35: Their evolutionary order/their order of being captured and playable in the Subspace Emissary? And the order of their direct naming and sequence of the four images that goes Pokemon Trainer, Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard on their Brawl Dojo character page?
45-onward: Online reveals, with 51-53 being their order of introduction within their trailer

That seems to be the way how it is from what I'm seeing


Although I've always thought it should've been Jigglypuff, Captain Falcon, Luigi, Ness based on the N64 book

Yeah, I guess that's the one in particular I'm having trouble with? Even in the intro it kinda reads in that order if you go left bottom to left top and then right bottom to right top, but even then Luigi and Cap are the first ones in if you go frame by frame... And the website lists it backwards, from Jigglypuff to Luigi.

Plus the Character Selection Screen goes Luigi Ness Cap Jigglypuff going top left, bottom left, top right, bottom right.
I guess it's like, you first have the Target Test unlockable character, then followed by Ness and Cap and it ends with Jigglypuff because, to quote the Smash Wiki:
"Jigglypuff can be unlocked after Ness and/or Captain Falcon if criteria for the latter two is fulfilled during the 1P Game"
And maybe it's Ness then Cap because Cap's is the "harder" one? (Ness = Complete 1P game under difficulty/life/continue requirements, Cap = Complete 1P game under continue requirements but do it fast).
