So, can we get started on ripping Smash 4's SFX and Voices?

It's been a while and i think it's already late on the SFX ripping part, many players have access to the Sound Test and have ripped the OST and even textures directly out of the game's files...but i think it's time to get on the SFX and Voice Clips part

The initial part would be the hit SFX, those super satisfactory and meaty sounds. Just imagine how they'd fit in PM when you land a Knee as Falcon or an Up-smash as Fox!
Another thing i've been eager for is to get the new cute voices and sounds for Ness and Kirby from Smash 4 in PM

...but the thing is i don't even have a 3DS, but i wanted to point out that this has been an untouched topic related to PM/Brawl modding and it is about time it should be starting worked on as a little project

1. We should probably wait for the Wii U version.
2. If we want to stay in Nintendo's good graces, I don't think it's the best thing to do.

You sound like you're rushing what's eventually inevitable. If you aren't ripping it yourself, then wait like everyone else.

Why post a topic that you can't even directly contribute to?
what i was willing to do is make the .sawnd files myself when i get my hands on the sound effects

1. We should probably wait for the Wii U version.
2. If we want to stay in Nintendo's good graces, I don't think it's the best thing to do.
1.- ok thanks for that answer, and i didn't think of the Wii U version, it probably has better sound quality
2.- well, the complete OST has been around for quite a time and there seems to be no problem with it (yet?), still it's a valid point considering the "short" time the game's been out, but since there's already enough material from inside the game flying around, i thought that the SFX needed to be also around to dissect and use for Brawl/PM mods. Even Dantarion has been trying to look at the game's guts and coding for a couple days already.
i have no problem with waiting though, i just wanted to know if there was people already looking into it or if someone had the sounds ready to use and offer myself to help make the .sawnd files, but i understand the issue

I know I'm late but wanted to share my thoughts...

Why post a topic that you can't even directly contribute to?
For some reason that sounds rather harsh, (I don't know why for some odd reason maybe it's just me). But I can see where you're coming from, for a while I've been wondering why people haven't started on animations for the veteran fighters. There's probably a good reason why and I should probably keep my mouth shut and wait like everyone else...

1. We should probably wait for the Wii U version.
2. If we want to stay in Nintendo's good graces, I don't think it's the best thing to do.
1. I guess that would make sense, but wouldn't it take a while to get the content off the disc (unless the same method is possible with the 3DS version via SD Card)?

2. I haven't seen Nintendo strike any YouTube channels for Smash 4 music (or any Nintendo music in general). I don't see what the big deal is.

Nintendo is considerably more touchy about Project M. Even mentioning "PM" on Miiverse earns you an insta-ban.

Project M is technically legal, but Nintendo is certainly not very happy about it.

I guess that makes sense, but since you have to go through the process of modding your Wii U to do so, it would make sense to earn a ban if you mention it. My guess is, it helps Nintendo spot those people who mod their consoles, even if it's only for P:M.

I'm not sure if I fully understood what you meant by "modding" but you assuredly do not have to make any alterations (homebrew/riivolution) to your Wii U to run Project M.

From what you're saying, you clearly understood what I'm trying to say. Even though you don't have to necessarily mod your Wii U to play P:M. Nintendo doesn't want to take that risk of assuming that you used the "hackless" method, so they'd probably play it safe and ban you.

Well, I already did a few, but I'm too lazy to rip them individually and order them nicely.

I DID do this for Lucina, both Robins + Chrom, I ripped them apart and simply numbered each voice clip, so here are the link to both of these voice packs.

And as far as quality goes, I think they sound pretty good IMO.

If you want to gauge the quality of these rips by yourselves, here are a few samples from the rip themselves;

Or just the idea of alterations to their IP rustles their johnnies.
