So can Kirby swallow items or not?

Yes, Kirby can swallow items, but I don't know much except explosives do damage, and it would be pretty stupid if food didn't heal you and spicy curry didn't activate.

For those who're curious, swallowing bombs do hurt Kirby and damage for around 13% =s

I've eaten food in Subspace. You can still recover health from it. I haven't tried chomping Curry, bombs, or trophies, but I want to. For the most part it seems as if you just destroy the swallowed item.
