I have housing for myself in Berkeley. so I can definitely go.

I'd like to find some people to carpool with to cut gas prices.

I can not help you with housing however. You're on your own there.

Gas will be split by however many people are in the car

So if we have 4 in the car, the gas is split 4 ways. If we have 2 in car, gas is split 2 ways. My car gets average 24 MPG. You can do the math.

I plan on driving up Friday night, spending the night. Go to tournament. Spend the night saturday night.
Then come home on Sunday.

And yes if you ride with me I will drop you off at your housing or wherever you need to go. But it can't be too far away. I'm staying only 3 miles from the venue. I'm not dropping someone off 30 miles away UNLESS you pay for 60 miles of gas there and back haha.

We can work whatever out.

But like I said you're on your own for housing, UNLESS you find me housing too, then we can drive to the same spot.
