I come from Smash 64, where half of the players play on keyboards.
Sorta used to it.
Just wanted to ask a quick question.

I have never seen any rules that would prohibit it, unless you're using macros. Since nobody does that, I guess it'd be up to the TO. If you've got means to use keyboard on gamecube without affecting gameplay, I don't see why not. With the amount of different techs in melee which with you need precise analogue angles (wd, wl, recovery angles etc. ) I see kb being a major disadvantage.

If you can make it work, go for it.

Nobody is going to turn away a custom controller user.
If anything you'll be seen as a novelty and you might end up with some fans.

I wonder... I suppose if we don't see anything wrong with it and there's an easy way for you to do it... why not? Then when you win a tournament with some really messed up techniques for keyboard only we'll ban it then. Better get your prize money while you can :]

I've kind of always wanted to try Melee with the TvC Wii stick. Some things I can see being easier, some things not though...

The only way this would work on console is if there is some sort of USB > gc controller adapter. Otherwise, emulators like dolphin aren't used in tournament.
