Pac-Man moves kind of "slow and sluggish" and has solid/big hit boxes. Discuss.

This actually excites me a little bit. I used to be a Yoshi main, and most people felt he was sluggish and weird to control, yet for me it was extremely natural. I am not good with fast characters at all and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to justice with Pac-Man if he were to be fast.

Snake was also considered to be quite sluggish too

No word yet on the bonus fruit properties...grr.. They could make or break his position in the eventual tier lists.

Alt costumes are said to be one with socks? (stupid) and boots and glove changes... Kinda am hoping for Pac-Man with pink boots lol... But if not I am happy with his normal red/orange boots and gloves..

It's confirmed the alternate colors are nothing but color changes to his gloves and boots. And one alt with "brown socks that go all the way up his legs."

I am honestly confused yet incredibly interested at the socks costume. I have never seen any piece of Pac-Man material where he has worn anything like what the socks are described as.

Yeah I am sort of annoyed with it. (Really? Brown socks?) But I have a feeling there will be more DLC in the future.

I would really like to know if the socks where under boots or he just wore socks. Wearing them up to his body looks weird too since I like how his legs are thin. It gives him more of a cartoon character vibe. Sakurai should've just done hats like Mappy's police hat, Pac-Man's hat from Pac-Land, and his headphones from the art of Pac N' Pal. Even if you wanted to modify just the shoes he could've done the sneakers from Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures.

The thing I'm grateful to hear about is that Pac-Man himself doesn't change color nor we see any reference to the Ghostly Adventures.

I think they're just trying to keep the Pac-Land influences coming because, I played that for the first time a few weeks back out of curiosity, and Pac-Man ran pretty slow in that, I also remember his running speed in Pac-Man World 2 being at sort an average running speed so eh, well hey at least this most likely means he'll have a decent amount of power to make up for his lack of speed.

They also mentioned they go through the screens quick and its hard to tell on the character select renders and its near impossible to remember everything, that's why you have to loosely guess what they could be and think 'what looks like full length brownish socks.' It could also be referencing another namco property, I am just drawing a blank off the top of my head.

I've played the Bowz since 2001. Pac-Man is going to feel like Sonic by comparison.

So did I, but when you look at the white it sticks out more and it turns out to look like Pac-Man's boot. I'm referring to it as a Galaga reference, since the ship you play as in the game has a white and red color scheme. It's still a stretch, however...

Let's keep in mind that Pac-Man probably has slow MOVEMENT. Not necessarily attacks
(though his smashes do seem to lag a bit).
