Snaphot method?

I have read about this but it comes up rarely. It is needed for a code or two I have and I found a code that was titled "Snapshot" but is it really just a code...? from what I gathered it was more than that.

He's talking about, a method to load more than the normal amount of codes allowed by the old gecko, however, its useless when you get the new gecko os.

tl;dr: Upgrade gecko os, forget the snapshot code.
