So I am under the impression that at a certain distance (seems like the farthest you can possibly be from yr opponent while still hitting them with the first punch) yr first A jab will pop them up in the air a little enabling you to Utilt right after.

I'm not entirely sure if you can FF out of it or airdodge but playing last night for about 5 hours straight, through mix up, I was able to successfully perform jab > Utilt on my opponent 75% of the time.

This applies to Ftilt, and Dtilt as well.

I honestly hadn't noticed this before. I would blindly jab > Utilt, or jab > Ftilt, but I never noticed there being a difference in the distance of the jabs.

If you jab too close they'll just get pushed back.

I think this is something you should keep track of, as it is essential for mix up.

Discuss.

I guess it's just the hitbox of Snake's jab. Closer towards him has a fixed knockback of pushing them slightly forward. Farther away pushes them up a bit so that they can't retaliate with a shield... or... something like that.

I perform a PP->ftilt(1st hit)->utilt for damage-building/killing.
