Snake´s meteor

Lots of Snakes (like me) have lots of problems trying to do a perfect meteor. The proper time is tricky, mostly of the times, you´ll end up sending your oponent up instead of killing him dow...Why?. So plz any advices are welcome here.

Snake's heel is a sweetspot for spiking opponents while the rest of the hitbox sends them upwards.

as well as predicting air dodges
