SNAAAAAAAKE!!!! technique compilation

well i have been seeing some of these snake threads and i have found nothing helpful,only people saying snake is cheap because of his c4 and mines.so i decided to try to make a helpful thread about helpful techniques.

ALSO IF YOU HAVE A TECHNIQUE THAT IS NOT POSTED HERE PLEASE TELL ME SO I CAN ADD IT AND I WILL GIVE YOU CREDIT.

1)mortar slide:To do this: Forward on control stick, c-stick down almost simultaneously, immediately followed by up on the control stick + z to charge the mortar slide


2)short hop dair:To do this you must short hop and instantly do a dair if you do it right snake will hop while doing a dair,he kind of floats a little while doing the kicks.The first kick does 6% damage,the following 2 kicks do both 5% damage each.The last kick does 12% damageand has high knockback making it a good ko move.

3)c4 recovery:To perform this technique you must cancel your upB move with a downB.This will make snake drop a c4 and after that fall until you are at the c4's level,then detonate it.This will send you upward and let you use your recovery again.

4)grenade shield dropress B to take out a grenade then press the shield button to drop it.
You can then pick it up and throw it as a regular item.
I DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR ALL OF THESE TECHNIQUES.

IIRC this does not work in a short hop. To do this I hold down and tap X and A at the same time, to ensure a fullhop for him to get all of his kicks out. This applies to nair as well.

3)c4 recovery:To perform this technique you must cancel your upB move with a downB.This will make snake drop a c4 and after that fastfall until you are at the c4's level,then detonate it.
I would not recommend fastfalling either the plant or the detonation, especially if recovering from say, under a stage. It's also imperative to make sure the momentum from the cypher leaves you able to fall in line with the c4s.

4)grenade toss:First throw a grenade with a small throw and walk towards it.Grab it with A before it falls.
5)grenade shield explosion:Throw the grenade with a small throw and catch it before it falls then walk towards the opponent and before the grenade explodes shield.
Both of these can be more efficient just by holding B then shielding. This is shield dropping nades. There are plenty of topics on it.

instead of throwing the grendaes in front of u, u can always just press Z and drop it right where u are, and then pick it up. I find this way easier and more efficient.

Doesn't SH Dair only work if you make contact with the opponent? Pretty sure it doesn't autocancel if you don't make contact.

Also knowing when aerials need to be executed to cancel isn't really a technique.

Missile drop. Do not forget the Missile drop. Cancle a missile shot with sheild and it drops untill it hits something. People will always remebr to sheild from a missle coming at the them but forget to luck up to see if one falls on theri heads.
