It's theorymon time! Design sets which you believe will work for SmashCAP 3. Discussion on certain niches can also take place here. I'll loop this with the Counters discussion so we can bring up checks and counters to SmashCAP 3 and each possible set. Competitive value only!

Please respect the global forum rules. Thanks!

I'm going to post this right off the bat, and edit later to include more sets. Natures and EVs are still in progress.

Note: Run an extra speed EV on anything with HP Fire.

---------------------------
Set: Life Orb

Zook@Life Orb
Multitype/Modest
36HP/252SpA/220Spe
Substitute
Hyper Voice
Aura Sphere
Shadow Ball

Basic set, probably be one of the most common right off the bat, simple, and somewhat effective. Counters fighting plate Zook without Dark Pulse, can do damage by getting up a Sub. Yeah. EVs are to do fun things like come into Breloom Focus Punches or Defensive Rotom Shadow Balls for free, outspeed, and KO. Rest of EVs are dumped into HP.
------------------------------
Set: Fist Plate

Zook@Fist Plate
Multitype/Modest
36HP/252SpA/220Spe
Substitute
Aura Sphere
Shadow Ball
Energy Ball/HP Fire/Dark Pulse

You NEED the power from modest, so you have to run 220 Speed to outpace defensive Rotom and 208 Spe Breloom, and the rest is dumped into HP. Aura Sphere and Shadow Ball is a nearly unresisted combo, with Energy Ball, HP Fire, and Dark Pulse are your coverage moves. Simple, effective.
------------------------------
Set: Sandstorm abuse

Zook@Stone Plate
Multitype/Timid
172HP/16Def/144SpA/12SpD/164Spe
Will-O-Wisp
Shadow Ball
Thunderbolt
HP [Ground /Fire]/Ice Beam/Energy Ball/Roar

A Walling/KOing SS set. 144SpA and +Spe 164Spe to outspeed and KO a defensive Rotom after SR most of the time and to outspeed 208Spe Adamant Breloom, used a defense calculator to fill in the rest. Use 136 Spe and dump the rest into Def if you’re not using Ice Beam or HP Fire. This set is pretty much giving Zook some bulk while making him hit as hard as he can. Zook being at a poor 70 speed has troubles with Metagross and the like, though. Only if you can WoW him on the switch-in do you have a chance. Looks good on paper for a Mono or SS team, not sure in practice though.
------------------------------
Set: Not all Dragons breath fire
Zook@Draco Plate
Multitype/Modest
36HP/252SpA/220Spe
HP Dragon
Aura Sphere
Thunderbolt
Substitute/Will-O-Wisp

The Draco Plate is an interesting choice on Zook. It puts you back with an Ice and Dragon weakness, but in return you’re getting wonderful Water, Grass, Electric, and Fire Resistances that help you tank a few hits to plow through opposition. HP Dragon is hitting for a DECENT 84 base power after Draco Plate (Off 140SpA, and even hitting Super Effective helps it a lot). Aura Sphere has AMAZING coverage with it, and Thunderbolt rounds the combo off by hitting Skarm. Substitute works in actually beating opposing Dragons, but WoW always stands by to be of use. Drawbacks of the set include, but are not limited to: Stall ***** this badly lol.

Zook @ Fight Plate
Multitype / Timid
92 HP / 252 SpA / 164 Spe
Substitute
Aura Sphere
Shadow Ball
Will-o-Wisp

Fairly basic, but with a Fight Plate, he gains perfect coverage STAB allowing him to have a free slot. With Will-o-Wisp at his disposal, he can severely cripple a team, especially with his massive HP and substitutes up. He can force many switches using this set allowing him to severely dent teams with his awesome STAB coverage and massive SpA.
