SmashBros. Petition, add Classic Chars.

This petition might not be for everyone, I understand that right off the bat. Growing up playing my older brothers Nes, Snes they were a lot of games, but Some stood out more then others and those video game characters I considered the classics. Now Nintendo made an awesome step By adding Megaman from megaman 2. But could you imagine if they added Ryu from Street Fighter 2 one of thee best selling and most popular games for the snes. How about Simon Belmont the Vampire slayer from Castlevania or his ancestor Richter the agile Melee fighter. How about the Main Final Fantasy 1 cast that could be played like pokemon trainer with Warrior,
Black mage, White Mage, Monk/Thief. Finally how about Pac Man One of the most memorable video game icons?

I'm starting a petition to simply add these characters(possibly more) to the roster and maybe help Nintendo see that this was a chance to add some of the most memorable 80-90's video game icons that are NOT in the game but could be. All these current gaming companies had past relations with Nintendo at one point or another.
So please sign because who knows? If not to add them on launch, MAYBE as Future DLC.

Synopsis of how I think the characters should be played:
Ryu - Brawler,Melee fighter with small ranged poke
Simon - Close-Med. ranged fighter specializing in whip attacks
Richter- Agile Melee Fighter who prefers combat and items over use of whip.
FF1 Characters-Played like pokemon trainer able to swap out, each character specializing in own style.
Pac Man- Brawler with some unique skill options.

Note: if you do sign, try to get someone else to sign as well. Only sign if you believe in the cause.
Check the image out if you'd like to get an idea of some of the classic greats coming together.
(obviously Nintendo would reanimate / make them look better )

It requires too much interaction with 3rd party companies. Making the characters in the game is the easy part of including these kind of characters, the licensing, rights and contracts are the hard part.

Even then, Sakurai has said that the list of characters they are trying to get in has been finalized, they're implementing the content currently, a petition won't do anything because of that. Sakurai has also spoken that it makes little sense to intergrate fighting game characters into Smash Bros since they're already present in another fighting game, at least that's his opinion, so Ryu is also out. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to play as Black Mage for example, but what you're proposing just isn't possible.

As much as i would like Simon and Pac-man (to some degree)
I don't see all of this happening.
Sakurai already ruled out characters like Ryu which makes this even more useless

Too much involvment of third party characters.

In August 2012, Sakurai stated that while the addition of third-party characters appealed to fans and broadened the Smash Bros. audience, he recognized the need to narrow down their inclusion since introducing non-Nintendo characters "willy-nilly" would lose focus of the game.

This petition will do nothing I'm afraid, and such numerous third party editions are unlikely, at least for this particular Smash game.

I'm sick of this kind of stuff to be honest I see these kinds of post on Miiverse and people literally try to convince you why their dumb character request should be in.

I don't know about that. The petition wouldn't really help anything. I am fairly certain Sakurai has a pretty refined roster at this point. Not to mention I highly doubt he will support 3rd party characters aside from Sonic, Megaman, or Pacman. Even then... I am not too certain about Sonic or Pacman.

Pacman's a definite uncertainty. Not so much for Sonic however, plenty of reasons that points toward his return making more sense then not.

But anyway, all of those are 3rd party characters. And the spots as they are for those types are limited as it is. As you have a confirmed Mega Man, a likely return for Sonic, and MAYBE Snake too. (Snake's chances of returning are definitely a bit questionable compared to Sonic's but it's still more likely then most other 3rd Party characters simply because he was in the previous game.)
