Smash Cadet
Hello.
First of all, I want to say that I've known about Smashboards for quite a while. Over the past few weeks, I have been using it as a news source for Smash on the Homepage. I figured it was time to just go ahead and become a member, seeing as how I came onto the site consistently for that reason.
I've been playing Smash ever since I got Melee on my GameCube over a decade ago. It was the same situation with my Wii, as I got Brawl shortly after the game's release. And, for a while, Brawl was my favorite due to the massive amount of content it had. It's also one of the only games for the Wii I've bothered to keep to this day.
Enter Sm4sh. It is now my favorite game in the series, and one of my favorite games of all time.
During the times I actively played Melee, I often played as both Mario and Mewtwo. I can't say I would choose one over the other, though, so I can't really say I have a primary main or a secondary.
During the Brawl days, I often played as Sonic, Toon Link and had Lucario as my definite primary.
And now we arrive at Sm4sh again. Currently, Greninja is my main. Mario is better than ever and I tend to use him the most of my secondaries(Primary secondary?). Lucario returns as another secondary, and I'm trying to pick up both Palutena and Duck Hunt Dog. But I'm considering dropping Palutena for the Villager.
I'm afraid I'll have to go the hipster route and say I prefer the GameCube controller when playing. And I hope I get into competitive Sm4sh. At some point. I'm currently trying to work up my skill level online, though that can only do so much once I get to a certain point. I don't think I'm to that level yet, though.
Outside of Smash, I also enjoy Pokemon, as evidenced by the various Pokemon I've used in the throughout the series. I'm also one of those Animal Crossing players that has been a fan since the first, which was the very first game I played on my GameCube. I'm looking forward to Xenoblade Chronicles X and Splatoon, and I've been getting into Fire Emblem as well. There isn't much gaming I do outside of Nintendo consoles, but I do intend to get into PC gaming at some point.
I've never been much of a forum user when it comes to other sites. I used to go on Miiverse actively, but I feel the Miiverse community in general went downhill. Plus, it's not exactly meant to be full-fledged social website, either.
Anyway, for whatever reason I do so, I intend to be a more active user of Smashboards, and get more in touch with other Smash fans in general. For some reason, I've been more passionate about Sm4sh than I was with any other game in the series, something I didn't even thing possible until recently. And I intend to show it. It's nice to meet you guys, in advance.
