Smash 3DS Smash run

Just saw Gamexplain's new smash run video and in it the characters aren't stamina based anymore.

If this isn't new you can just lock it but I remember seeing it playing differently (Starting at a set amount of health and having it go down to 0) so I believe there may be different ways to play smash run's final battle.

The battle at the end is randomized from a list of choices, just like City Trial's followup game.

Yeah, the final battle is Smash Run isn't always Stamina based. Other types that popped up in the demo are High-Launch Smash, Regular Smash and Mushroom Smash (only item is mushrooms on very high). We also know a race/climb to the finish mode is available, and some recent 3DS trailer imply there's also a who can kill the most enemies battle.

The only things missing from Kirby's Air Ride are some of the weirder minigames regarding flight time and such that obviously won't be carried over, and the King Dedede boss battle, which you actually had to co-operate to actually beat him.

It hasn't been updated for a while, but the all-purpose Smash Run thread in my sig is a decent resource for information, although all information from the Japanese release is supposed to be going to the 3DS topic, so I'll put info I find there.

Yeah, when I played I got a timed match and then a stamina match the second time. There's also supposed to be a jumping race type game.

I think an "Everyone Vs. a boss" mode could still work for this game, although hopefully unlike Vs. Dedede in Air ride it should be possible to beat.
