Smash Noob Looking for Practice on Dolphin Netplay

Hey guys! I've been following competitive Melee for a few years, but I only just started getting into playing it. I'm a Marth main, and I would love some help/advice via Dolphin netplay. Firstly, I have no idea how Netplay works, but I've already got a controller adapter and everything and that's working totally fine while playing by myself. I've seen people such and Hbox stream via netplay, I've heard all about it, but I dunno how it works. So, if anyone could help me out, either to help me with netplay or to become a potential partner, that'd be awesome. Thanks!
