smash names, and SmashWiki FTW? (two seperate things)

so I've been thinking a lot aobut what my name for smash should be. where did you guys all get your inspiration for your names? I've been thinking about the name BIRD because falco is a bird and yeah its kinda cool.

IS BIRD TAKEN?!???!?!?!/ SOMEONE TELL ME!



and also, i may be a n00b for this but i JUST discovered SmashWiki a few minutes ago, HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN AROUND?!?!?!

haha. yeah i've considered it but i think of this screen name more as a screen name instead of a gamer name. i signed up for this site a long time ago before i even considered competitive smash and that's when i chose that name.

bird isn't just because of it being 4 letters, its just a funny name but i'll keep thinking about it

Way back when I was an Inuyasha fan, I decided to make my own chracter nicknamed, Seyasha (hence where the "asha" came from) ever since then it has been my RPG name. Apart from Chaoszero, those are the only names I use. In Smash I shorten the name to, "Sey".

I don't think you can pick a name, you have to let it come to you. Eventually it will hit you. I got mine at my second biweekly smashfest. 56K. I just kind of came up with it. Plus I main Game & Watch (old, laggy) and I'm kind of a computer nerd so it just fits.

I've had Eaode for years, I don't really know where it came from. It just sounds cool.

And in smash I just play as "EAO"

Smashwiki has been around for a couple of months now, and has been edited by a multitude of SWF members every day for these past few months. I myself, edit it every once in a while.

Anyone who is a member here has the ability to edit it, just don't do anything stupid and make sure you have all of your facts straight before you go crazy. And make sure to ask people before you start some huge project, just go into the discussion on the main page for that stuff.


For my 4-letter name (although I don't use 4 letters) I use kage, in Japanese Katakana. It means shadow.

you really cant just make one on the spot, you usually get it from a joke you anf your friends have or a saying that you and your friemds always use. my board name and 4 letter name came from the south park character mr. derp. In school I just scream derp and write it on my friends' folders and ****.

and also GUTR seems more like gutter, so if u want guitar, I'd make it GITR. But see, now you might wanna pick GUTR becauseits funny and itll remind you of something way back when you started at smashboards. All comes down to however you wanna express your individuality in the game. And as far as BIRD goes, there is no even semi-known player by that name, so get good and claim it.

Yea im serious allright, Im like the Sasuke Uchia of the Smash World. Im sure your pretty good and I dont doubt it, but the same can be said about me. But since we kinda are rivals and stuff now, I suppose we should fill each other in on our attempts to spread our names. Things such as "combo videos" or Recorded matches against "well known" or "semi well known " players. This should make things even more intresting and placeing high in big tournaments too of course.
