Smash Melee Ledge Occupancy Frame Data

I couldn't find frame data on how many frames each ledge option occupies the ledge when you use it so I tested it in UnclePunch v3 using Peach's float and here are the results for the "relevant" characters and also Young Link cause I'm a believer. Surprisingly, while under 100%, attacking from the ledge universally has more frames of ledge occupancy than roll. I've always operated under the assumption that Roll occupies the longest and while the Attack is only around 5 or 6 frames better for most of the 9 characters I tested it's still not what I was basing my choices on before. Obviously, Roll provides more intangibility and you end up in a safer position but, in a game with infinite situations every move has a use.

I guess if I was really diligent I'd include other frame data for these options like intangibility frames and active hitbox frames. I mean, I was also unable to find hitbox animations for ledge options online so I could do those. I actually already collected screenshots but that will have to wait till I know have to make and post gifs. For now this is all I got.

Drop down from ledge has 0 frames of Ledge Occupancy across the board. "Jump" and "Tournament Winner" are the same thing so I just use Jump to save space. Characters are listed in alphabetical order. Numbers obviously indicate number of frames of occupancy.

For anyone curious, the data for your character can be found using SDM's Frame Data Page on Angelfire. In his ledge options info, the total animation length will be the same as the ledge occupancy time, EXCEPT for ledge jump where it ~equals the invulnerability length instead.

For Puff, this would be:
Attack - 55f
Roll - 49f
Regular getup - 34f
Tournament winner - 14f
