Hello, my name is Jamaal Ford (Roxy). I spend a lot of my community not playing smash, but learning about my community as a whole. I recently (out of boredom) decided to interview random people from the Atlantic South area, so that the community as a whole can get to know each other. From personal thoughts, to thoughts about the smash community!

Why have you decided to play fighting games competitively?
--Back when I was young and immature, I just wanted to be the best. I wanted to be able to play *ANY* fighting game and at least give my opponent a run for his money. However, as I grew older and more mature about competitive fighting games, my mentality changed. It then became a situation of wanting to help others get better. That happened when I helped a friend learn a character in Guilty Gear. He improved so much and gave me many thanks, and it felt good. I even began writing guides since then. GameFAQs and Forum guides and even some youtube clips. Since then, I've always wanted to focus on collecting information on the competitive scene, rather than become a top player.
Is there any player in particular that makes you want to get back into the competitive scene of any game?
