What is the Long Island Retro Gaming Expo?
- The Long Island Retro Gaming Expo is a convention that gives fans of video games an opportunity to step back in time and appreciate the retro games of years gone by. The convention is held in a big hotel and offers a huge vendor room for all kinds of cool retro collectibles, a game room for people to play their favorites of yesteryear, and even tournaments for Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, and more!
What is AON Gaming?
- AON Gaming is a tournament store. We have all kinds of video game tournaments throughout the entire week. We offer the highest calibur of professional gaming tournaments across all of Long Island!
What is this event?
- It's two tournaments in one - Melee singles and Project: M singles. Each tournament is a "pools-style" tournament where players play against all players in their pool of 6-8 people. After all players play against each other, a number of players from each pool with the best win-loss record will proceed to a double-elimination-style tournament bracket.

Tournament FAQ:
Q: What time does the event start?
A: Registration opens at 12:00, with matches starting at 1:00. Please do not be late. If there is a conflict and you absolutely cannot register on time, please contact Michael LaBombard at 631-553-4794.
Q: Where is the tournament?
A: The tournament is being held in the UpSky Long Island Hotel. Here is the address:

Q: What's the prize?
A: A 100% cash payout! The cash will be split in a 55% 30% 10% 5% ratio for first, second, third, and fourth respectively.
Q: Should I bring my own equipment?
A: We have nearly every piece of equipment you will need to play. Controllers are the only thing players are responsible for. If you don't have a controller, we have a few rental controllers available for con-goers. The vendors at the convention will also have new and used controllers available. We recomend a gamecube controller for both Melee and Project: M.
