The game running at 60 FPS has nothing to do with WiFi play. It just means that the screen updates 60 times per second. Brawl ran at 60 FPS as well.awesome because I always found wifi battling to be laggy in brawl.
It's really just as simple as the ATs/ Pokémon having 30 frames of animation, while the characters have double the rate of animation. The game overall is still running at 60FPS, the ATs/Pokémon just have less frames to their animation. This pretty awesome to hear. I wonder how Pokemon/AT runs at 30fps while characters run at 60 tho.

Honestly, I wasn't too hype because I expected it; anything less would have been a deal-breaker.I'm surprised people aren't more hyped for this.
Does anyone know what FPS Kid Icarus: Uprising ran at?

I think if nothing else it'll make the characters stand out more, so I imagine it'll be well worth it for this game.I hope this game will entice me to turn 3D on. Might make everything all the more worthwhile.
Turning on 3D also very slightly adjusts the sharpness of the image. It's small detail but I would assume some will appreciate it for smash.I think if nothing else it'll make the characters stand out more, so I imagine it'll be well worth it for this game.
