Houston's premiere weekly, the 53rd event!
This time featuring an item legal singles event! All items legal on HIGH in this separate bracket!
This event will be held at the University of Houston main campus! Here is a detailed map. It is going to be held in the University Classroom and Business building. ROOM 108
ALSO INCLUDING THE SMASH PIT
This is a redemption bracket for players that get last and second to last place. EIther winning one and losing twice, or losing twice with no wins. You will enter into the Smash Pit, a NEW double elimination bracket, with grand finals GUARANTEED to be played out on stream!
The prize will be a small prize package from Smash United and our partners at SpifSpace and Muffin Bros!
As always matches are STREAMED LIVE to see on the Smash United twitch channel!

1:00 p.m. - The Smash United Team begins setting up
1:30 p.m. - Registration begins
2:30 p.m. - Item legal singles
4:30 p.m. - Singles
EVENT FEES:
$5 Venue fee
$5 Item legal 1v1
$5 1v1
Venue fee is waived for bringing a TV+Wii U+Sm4sh+GC Adapter with everything (except ALL DLC, but DLC preferred) needed unlocked. Wii U MUST be updated to current format. Only first 16 setups get the waive.
PLEASE BRING SETUPS for the event to run properly and quickly, as well as to snag the venue waive. Laggy monitors sadly, will not get the venue waive. So keep that in mind. (Asus/benq monitors etc are always a safe bet). Also we are capping at 16 venue waives due to seating issues. If you count on the venue waive, come early.

Neutrals:
- BattleField/Miiverse (meaning if you strike one, you strike both)
- Smashville
- Town and City
- Lylat Cruise
- Final Destination
Counterpicks:
- DreamLand 64
- Duck Hunt
- Any Omega (striking this also strikes FD)
Stage Striking Order:
1-2-pick for the first round. (RPS for first ban if need be)
1 ban for the winner of each round
3 stocks
8 minute time limit
Items set to "Off" and "None"
Team attack ON in doubles
Equipment is banned
Custom moves are banned
Pausing results in a stock loss, unless it is for the opposing player's controller malfunction.
