Smash 3DS Smash custom menus for 3DS

I believe many of you know that the 3DS will be getting the option of customizing your menu screen very soon.

Well, Nintendo of Japan has recently made a page with a list of some of the customs

and I noticed that some of the said options are rather minor, despite them being on the list already. I'm assuming that the reason for this is because they're really cheap to make.
Yeah most of these "minor" stuff are third party, but if they can have customs for such minor games, why can't Nintendo do the same? How about making some for the Fighters in Smash?

Of course we may not get any, but it's an interesting idea, is it not? I'm getting quite excited, as if this happens I may get some merchandice about my girl Robin (which there isn't much of) and I would buy it in a flash.

What about you guys? If there were any custom screens of your favorite fighter(maybe even assists!), would you get one? I would!

It depends on the effort put into them, if they're polished like the zelda one, then sure. But if they're just a different background like most of these, http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/theme/list/00047/index.html <- this one for example, then I won't really bother with it as it just clutters up the screen without really making it any prettier imo

I would buy a Fire Emblem menu in a heartbeat. Wouldn't even care which game it was from.

I would love a Pokemon or Kirby one myself Although it depends on how much effort went into it.

Wait, buy it? These things are not for free?

If that's the case, then no, I won't. That'd be like paying for changing your PC's desktop background, even if it's affordable it's just not worth it.

If u do a little research u will see that the faceplates are only for the normal new 3ds. The New 3ds XL will be getting limeted edition menus and face plates. Kind of like the gold zelda 3ds, and the yoish one.

(Faceplates that u can't change. But I predict that they will sell the menus on the Eshop.)

The menus are a bit different from the faceplates. While there probably are menus packed with the faceplates, menus are stuff you can download from the eShop(I believe) to customize your home menu. There are some that you can download for free when you buy a game, but most will be on sale individually.

Nintendo didn't out Right say that XL users won't be able to use faceplates but looking at shops and if u take a closer look at the new 3ds XL it has no face plate to remove.

I see. But this thread is about the custom menus, and yes they are avaliable for purchase. Heck, it dosen't have to be the new model either, the old one can use them as well.

Looking at the prices of these, I wouldn't worry. Some of them are free, while the most expensive ones reaches 200 yen, AKA roughly 2 dollars, which incorporate some special feature besides aesthetics, which is what the ones as 100 yen (1 dollar if you're doing your math) do, being pretty much exclusively being colours and backgrounds.

What's the point? Point is is that if you're buying a BG, you'll probably only need to buy the one (Maybe two if you're picky or eccentric) and that's less than you'd need to spend for a fast-food snack, whether any Smash-related BGs are 1 or 2 dollars.

That being said, I'd probably not buy any/many character-related Smash 4 BGs, not unless they came in sets. Smash 4 is a biiig roster.

There will probably be a menu that matches the New 3DS Smash Model once it's out in November. I'm sure they have already have plans for exactly what menus they are going to release for the next year or so. The only thing we can do is be patient. I will personally be getting that gorgeous Hanafuda theme (complete with koto menu sounds) when I get the New 3DS XL next weekend!
