What if Sakurai brought back the old melee engine made compleatly new movesets and make SSB4 more competitive for just 20$, In October 2015. 5 returning characters Mewtwo, Pichu, roy, rob and snake! and 18 returning stages,
Planet Zebes: Brinstar
Dream Land: Fountain of Dreams
Hyrule: Temple
Kanto: Pokémon Stadium
Mushroom Kingdom: Princess Peach's Castle
Mushroom Kingdom: Rainbow Cruise
Yoshi's Story
Kongo Jungle
Luigi's mansion
Kanto Skies: Poké Floats
Bridge of Eldin
Luigi's Mansion
Lylat Cruise
Mario Circuit
Pirate Ship
Shadow Moses Island
Spear Pillar
Termina: Great Bay
Sakurai would either make this DLC himself or hire the project M guys.

I'm going to be the first of probably many to say this will NEVER happen and it's not even worth speculating on.

Not trying to be rude, just being honest. It would hurt their newest game's sales. They have no real reason to ever do this.
Yeah, it would never happen but I don't see how it would hurt game sales. It's just DLC... which is something I hope will be in SSB4. If it doesn't take this form maybe something else.

Sorry, not going to happen. Sakurai is pretty adamant about not liking how Melee's competitive scene turned out, so the engine's never coming back. Also, the Project M team will most likely not end up working in any official way with Nintendo ever.

He has never pointed at the competitive scene itself, at least as far as I know, the only reasoning he has given as to why he drifted away from the Melee level of gameplay is that it had too high of an entry level to play competitively and Nintendo's consoles and crowd has become more casual.

He's not going to spend thousands of dollars making Smash 4 more or exactly like a game that already exists when it's something else (and new) by default. Play that old game instead of hoping he'll tailor the new game to your wishes.

This is ridiculous. Why would Sakurai spend so long making and balancing a game only to release a second version just for the competitive scene. Being on Smashboards makes people forget how small the competitive community actually is. Nintendo might acknowledge them, like in the Invitational, but they'll never truly cater to them.

Also, just because Melee is the most competitive so far doesn't mean it's the most competitive ever.
