Smash Bros Melee Teacher/Tutor?

I recenty got back into playing Melee again and have been watching a lot of replays online. I dont really have many events in my area. Is anyone in the Brevard County, FL area willing to teach and play Melee? I want to learn more than what i already know beore i show up to a tourney and look like a fool.

Just some advice: It's ok to look like a fool at your first tourney. In fact, be prepared to lose when you go for the first couple times. You should still go however, because I probably only got better because I failed so bad at my first tournament almost a year ago. Your best bet is to find someone at the tournament willing to teach you there.

Just as the above post says, go to the tourney. Everybody starts off looking like a fool at tourneys, we've all been there aha. No shame in it. Plus, so long as ur sociable, it's prob one of the easier ways to find out who lives by close enough to hang out and play (aka practice, be it teaching or mutual learning from a similar level). Make sure do also facebook search for Smash scenes in your area; they'll often have a facebook group page to post in if any tournaments/fests/hang outs are coming up!
