Hello smashboards, I'm not sure where to post this so i guess ill post it here. I work at a boys and girls club in Tucson, Arizona and on Friday October 31st I hosted a project M tournament for the youth I work with. I had a total of 26 participants, and a majority of them have never even heard of smash coming from families that cannot afford gaming systems. There was also some who were actually pretty good. I even let some play smash 3ds. The Hype was real, it was awesome, working there for almost a year this was the first time I saw legit joy coming from some of these kids that I had never seen. I had multiple kids ask "Mr. can we do this every week?" and I spoke to my boss and got the green light on making it a weekly event for the kids and we had our 2nd tournament on Nov, 7, and when smash for Wii u comes out it’ll be awesome to give the kids a chance to play it so I will be bringing my Wii u and I’m trying to get 8 controllers so they can enjoy 8 player smash. Hopefully it will continue to grow and it'll be awesome to teach the youth everything I know and watch them grow as smashers. I just thought I would share this story with you all it was a pretty awesome experience.
